She has been unable to work for the past six months due to health issues. I Care stepped in and assisted the woman by paying her past due Consumer Energy bill in the amount of $762.09. 

 
One day, a husband decided to leave his wife and three children after he emptied out their savings and checking accounts. He left without paying any bills or taxes. She worked hard to catch up, however, her utilities were in jeopardy of being turned off. I Care has helped by paying the $884.23 in utilities to help keep the family going.

A 39 year old male was recently released from the Michigan Department of Corrections after nine years. This man was terribly abused throughout his prison term. He has no family support, and is paroled to a shelter in the Detroit. Unfornately, he is almost in the same situation in the shelter that he was in prison. A good samaritan has assisted the gentleman by renting him an apartment and waiving the security deposit. He has started a new job, but could not pay his first month's rent. I Care helped by paying a month's rent of $480.00.
